47-year-old woman in Pittsburgh hospital following car accident
A recent Pennsylvania accident ended seriously for one woman who now remains hospitalized in Pittsburgh. Police believe that the woman was traveling on Route 380 in Washington Township when another vehicle pulled out in front of her. The car accident resulted in serious damage to the woman’s vehicle, and she sustained serious injuries in the collision.
According to police, the 47-year-old woman had to be extricated from the vehicle, which was rendered unrecognizable in news photographs. She was trapped for nearly a half hour while authorities worked through the wreckage, eventually cutting the entire roof off her vehicle. Reports immediately following the accident did not detail the exact nature or extent of her injuries.
The driver of the second vehicle, an 84-year-old man, sustained minor injuries to his arm. He was treated and released from another hospital following the accident. Police have not given any indication of whether charges will be filed.
Following a serious car accident, the victims often have a lot on their minds. Worrying over financial, medical and employment concerns can be overwhelming to someone who has recently experienced a traumatic accident. Fortunately, Pittsburgh drivers do not have to work through their concerns alone. There are channels of support that can offer immense help in recovering physically and financially.
Such channels may be able to help the victim of an accident on our state’s roadways to seek the compensation that they need to recover from their injuries and personal losses. Under our state’s personal injury laws, anyone who is injured due to the negligence of another driver may find that they can file civil claims against the negligent party to obtain compensation. Successfully litigated claims can provide financial compensation for lost wages, medical expenses and other losses that often accompany a car accident like this one.
